There’s always a moment before things change.
It’s easy to miss if you’re not paying attention.
Nothing looks different yet.
Nothing has happened.
The world is still exactly what it was a second ago.
But something underneath it has already moved.
A realization.
A decision.
A truth you can’t unsee once it settles in.
And after that?
Everything starts to shift.
Not all at once.
Not dramatically.
But steadily.
The way you think changes.
The way you react changes.
The way you see the world around you begins to feel… different.
That moment doesn’t come with a warning.
It doesn’t announce itself as important.
But it’s the point where the story turns.
Where the version of you that existed before…
starts to fall away.
And something new takes its place.
That’s the moment I’m always looking for when I write.
Not the explosion.
Not the aftermath.
But the quiet second right before it all begins.
Because that’s where everything actually changes.
